Mission

We are a collective of Black STEM professionals who goal is to support HBCU students in attaining their STEM goals. These goals can range from passing a class, to becoming a chemist, mathematician or computer scientist. In order to do this most effectively, we believe in three foundational principles in supporting students in STEM.

I. Effective Representative Mentoring is crucial in supporting students

Start Small

Watch Dr. John Harkless drop some crucial mentoring knowledge to a group of students during the pandemic. He answered the question of "How do you fight procrastination?"

II. Deep Content Engagement, more than just tutoring, is needed in order to support students.

More than just Answers

Watch as Professor Nakia Rimmer goes deeper than any normal tutro would in diving into Multi-Variable Calculus with a UNCF STEM scholar.

III. Access to Networks and Resources supports students on a pathway to success towards their STEM goals

Access to resources like free accounts to RisingMath, a mathematics platform for practice.
Access to Networks like the National Association of Mathematicians, The National Society of Black Engineers, and more, students have chance to improve their opportunities at success in their disciplines.
